This year, Dr.Faraci has experienced the organization of a website that he personally updated on a daily base. What's your overall evaluation of this tool? Do you think it has been useful for learning or it's just for fun?
In my opinion, it's not only helpful but also fun. This website provides us a platform to discuss and communicate what we're interested in about the class. Through this website, I learn a lot from my classmates and also know so much funny thing about Italy.
I think the website is really awesome. People can discuss and exchange their ideas form the blog, besides, it's very convenient to download information provided by professor or classmates. I also like the photos because they decorate the website and make it fun.
According to me, surfing over these web pages was awesome. I have not used my previous course websites, so frequently. Maybe because it wasn't so interactive. Discussion on topics taught in the class is really helpful. Creative fun(pics, funny discussions and videos) is a plus which differentiates it from my previous course websites. Overall Rating : 4.5/5.0...lol
I have really enjoyed this course's website and blog. It definitely provides another forum for students to get to know each other. Also, thanks to the website's organization there is no way you could get lost in what's going on in class. Overall, I think the website is great and very useful.
I too think that the website has been both educatinal and fun. Fun due to the blogging and interact. Educational because you could find information easier. Most of all I liked the website because it was easier to work with than E-Learning!
I like the course website too. It not only helps to discuss the course material, but also provide a platform to share the opinions on diffrent topics, such as Italian curture, globalization, and network. The most important thing is that it provide a channel for the students who don't prefer talking in public (just like me) to take the class participate. I enjoy it a lot.
The website is a great tool for learning and information. I loved the pictures of the class, it made it more personal. I also love the blog option for class participation points.
I really enjoyed how Dr. Faraci updated the website. Although I was extremely busy this summer, I felt that the professor kept the course at the top of his priorities. I also loved sharing the course website with classmates outside of UF (such as the pictures and the blog). They were really impressed with the amount of time spent on the site and are going showing it to their professors as an idea for classes at their home universities. Overall, I loved the opportunities we were given to interact and learn the material outside from lectures and reading.
I believe techically the website is really well designed.I agree its better than e-leaning tool. Blog made this class interactive and kept reminding me about the healthy class competation. The whole Idea of blog was to involve everybody and make this as fun learning experience. I also apprciate Dr. Faraci for putting so much efffort for this class, from personal feed back to differnt teaching methods used according to need of hour.
I've only taken a couple of classes at UF that have focused as much on a website as this class has. I think it's more useful than e-learning, and the blog is definitely a good idea to offer students an additional way to participate in conversations about the class, since there is only so much that can be said in class.
The course website is great! It made everything very accessible and simple! It is to be noted that Dr. Faraci's efforts to keep it up to date are amazing! 'The fun content' is indeed amusing, but for the most part it was all very much educational. Peronsally, I'm not a number girl, nor do I care for figures (I can do them, but I don't like them), and I feel like all of these interactive resources have assisted all students by aiding them in their strengths and weaknesses! The website has been very useful - the updates make it easy to keep track of what is going on. The blog has had some interesting articles on it, and has been a useful forum for discussion! I'm impressed by Dr. Faraci's dedication to the blog and keeping us all in the loop!
