If, after graduation, I end up working for a company that plans to extend oversees, I could offer advice to management that I learned from this class. I will have a better understanding of how to enter foreign markets and how to determine which markets are more desirable based on this class.

I enjoyed working through the cases, and looking at all the interal and exteral analysis in order to formulate different strategies and solutions. In the future, I could apply this knowledge not only to globalization ventures of a company but also to perform market research for a company to come to conclusions in any situation.

I feel like this class has not only helped me learn to analyze companies better than I previously could, but also help my presentation skills. Analyzing companies and idustries is something business people have to do on a daily basis, whether it is to know which company to merge with, or what to do in their own operations, or what company to invest in.

I makes you aware that business is kind of like a game. You have to play your cards right in order to succeed. Play you cards right... what does that truly mean? It means using all of your resources wisely and truly thinking your plans through for your business. Strategy is also a very social activity. You need to be able to socialize, network, and use all of your contacts effectively.

I am interested in international business and this is also the reason that I decide to pursue my master degree in America. The concepts and resources from class really can help me come up ideas in developing my career.

For example, I think SWOT is a good tool not only in business analysis but also in personal career analysis. You can use SWOT to analyze “yourself” in the career market. What are your biggest strengths and weakness? What are you opportunities and threats in looking for a job? It’s a good way for us to think about ourselves. If we can understand our abilities more, we can build clearer career blueprints. I believe finding a good job (or a realistic job) is the most important thing for present us. Some business school slogan is even: ”We let you major in career.” If we can use the resource learned from class to contribute to career, the tuition we paid is more worthful.

By the way, business school always emphasize on networking. If you want to find a good job, networking is very important to you. And if you want to build your networking, socializing is also important. However, some people just misunderstand “socializing” this word. They think if they can meet more people, attain more social, they can build network. Sometimes they just make them too tired in these social. I think if you want to build your networking successfully, you should understand what’s the most important to you. You can only attend the social you’re interested. Try to meet some people and make your conversation meaningful. Besides, remember to sharpen your communication ability. Don’t let people think you are boring. Make a good relationship with the people who you think they are good. Networking doesn’t mean you only can get help form the person you know. If you have good relationship with people, if they can’t help you, they can try to contact their networking to help you. Maybe finally the person who helps you is your friend’s friend’s friend.
