While reading Chapter 6 and learning about coporate-level strategy I was reminded of an article, "Hal Leonard signs deal with Christian music publisher"

Hal Leonard Corp. in 2004 was the largest printed sheet music published in the world. They created a distribution alliance with Brentwood-Benson, whom produce and distribute Christian music of various kinds, primarily choral music.

"The deal makes Milwaukee-based Hal Leonard te exclusive distributor of Brentwood-Benson publications to the secular trade."

This alliance is a corporate level strategy through value creating diversification.
